Humayun Saeed has been in Pakistan’s entertainment industry for more than a decade and has undoubtedly, given super hit dramas for the industry. He is mainly known for his performances in dramas but nevertheless he has contributed immensely for the resurgence of the cinema of Pakistan and made this industry great once again. Humayun has been seen in lots of dramas and films performing diverse roles and has a strong impact on his audiences. Here are his five best movies. 

Main Hoon Shahid Afridi – MHSA is a Pakistani sport film that depicts the life of a coach who was illegally and wrongfully punished and it also shows the life of a young enthusiastic cricketer who aims to become like Pakistan’s cricketer Shahid Afridi. The character of the coach, Akhbar Deen was played by Humayun Saeed. The story of shows that Akhbar Deen was disowned by his family members for bringing shame to his family because of drinking and partying during work. However, it shows the story of him getting back in cricket and making his team win. This movie was a blockbuster in terms of business at the box office. People really praised Humayun Saeed for giving such a movie to the audiences. Moreover, this movie was considered as a leap towards the revival of Pakistani cinema. This was a strong start for the Pakistani cinemas, after being closed for many years.  

Bin Roye – The most dramatic and romantic movie of 2013, directed by Shehzad Kashmiri and produced by Momina Duraid. Humayun and Mahira played as the protagonist of the movie. The movie depicts about the dramatic love story of Saba (Mahira Khan) and Irtaza (Humayun) which started as a one-sided love from Saba. Irtaza never considered Saba as his life partner and treated her like his friend. Irtaza then left for the USA and the love story took a break here. Irtaza returned after few years from USA along with his wife, Saman and his son, Maaz. Somehow Saman turns out to be Saba’s elder sister which was given to her uncle and aunt as a child. The story took a new turn from this point. Consequently, Irtaza and Saman faced many consequences because of the past events and in the end an unfortunate incident took place which changed Saba’s life and she got her love back. To know about the rest of the story you really need to watch Bin Roye. Humayun as Irtaza did a great job and acted brilliantly. He also grabbed the best actor award for his performance in Bin Roye.

Lala Begum – It is a Pakistani drama short film directed by Mehreen Jabbar. Humayun played the role of husband of one of the lead actresses of the film. This movie revolves around the grudging relationship between two sisters who didn’t talk for 20 years. Seher, one of the lead actresses of the film married Ahmed (Humayun) for which she was disowned by the family members because she brought dishonor to the family by marrying her husband. Humayun and her wife Seher tries to break the walls which was criminally set by Meher and her father in the family. This film tells us how much we waste our time on the false prestige of rituals and customs of our family instead of enjoying our lives.  

Yalghaar – Based on the true events of Pakistan Army’s Swat operation, this movie explores the life of every individual who were involved in such operations. Humayun played the role of Tro Jan who is the leader of the convict group who kills enemies mercilessly. This movie actually tells us about the life of a soldier and the sacrifices he has to make for his country. It clearly shows how passionate and patriotic the soldiers are towards their country, Pakistan. Humayun said in one of his interviews that he found the film challenging. Undoubtedly, Humayun did a phenomenal job and showed the life of Pakistan’s soldiers subtly. Nevertheless, if you are passionate about the army you are going to watch this masterpiece. 

Jawani Phir Nahi Ani – Currently the third highest grossing Pakistani film, co-produced by Humayun Saeed and even he was one of the lead actors of the movie. A Rom-com movie which revolves around 4 childhood friends and their married life. They were missing their bachelor life and in the memory of their unmarried life and to bring joy to their lives one of the four friends (Humayun) planned a trip to Bangkok secretly just to help his friends escape from their wives. They all fooled their wives about the trip and went to enjoy their lives single men. There they got involved in a mess which forced them to leave Bangkok immediately. This story was presented in such a funny way that it comes out to be a family film and audiences thoroughly enjoyed it. The lives of four friends and their deeds were summed in a humorous manner which made this movie get awards.
 

We can say that he is one of the main contributors of the industry and undoubtedly the romance king of our industry. When the film industry was not doing good in terms of business, he did not give up, he worked hard day and night to bring this industry back where it deserves to be. He has a list of hit dramas which makes him the leading and the most acclaimed actor of Pakistan.
