1. Hum Aapke Hai Koun (1994)- The year marked the arrival of this remarkable musical romantic comedy, which was written and directed by the then-famous Sooraj R. Barjatya. The movie was known to be the most romantic movie of the 90’s starring Madhuri Dixit along with Salman Khan. This movie has been the highest-grossing film of the era and had successfully hit the box office in India. The story revolved around Prem (Salman Khan) and Nisha (Madhuri Dixit) and their ultimate sacrifice for their families. It is considered as one of the biggest and most successful blockbusters.

2. Judwaa(1997)- This movie is a superhit comedy movie with a bit of action. The movie was directed by David Dhawan and starred Salman Khan in a double role with Karishma Kapoor and Rambha. The story plots Salman in the role of two twin brothers who get separated at birth. Later they fall in love with two different girls. Destiny keeps getting them mixed with each other’s girlfriends and a complete haywire situation leads the movie to a happy ending. This movie was quite successful at the box office. The movie was later re-made starring Varun Dhawan in the lead role in 2017.  

3. Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam (1999)– Sanjay Leela Bhansali was the director of the film. Bhansali is known for his artistic touch and the scenes, the plots, and the romance depicted in the film are beyond what people could imagine. The movie starts with three shining stars of the Bollywood Industry, Salam Khan, Ajay Devgan, and Aishwarya Rai. This movie was a strong competitor in the box office, and once released, was a success. A history of romance was created once again in Bollywood.

Tere Naam (2003)- Satish Kaushik the director of the film created a character which was romantic and insane in the film “Tere Naam.” Salman Khan’s character of “Radhe Mohan” is still remembered people. His insane love, his typical hair-style, and his acting skills are all considered to be among his most exceptional performances. Salman Khan and Bhoomika Chawla together wrote the destiny of this movie, which was blockbuster.

The song, plot, and characters have all been subject to huge appreciation. Chulbul Pandey from Bihar, portrayed by Salman Khan, is still a favourite /romantic character for the audiences. His Bihari accent, the dialogues, and unique attitudes have all won millions of hearts. Sonakshi Sinha was the female lead role, while Sonu Sood plays the antagonistic. Furthermore, on public demand, a version two of this movie was released in the year 2012 and version 3 in 2019.

6. Ek Tha Tiger (2012)- When Indian movies include crime and action in the plot, especially when it’s between Pakistan’s ISI and India’s RAW agents then the masses come to watch. This is what made this movie a strong block buster. Starring Katrina Kaif and Salman Khan, this movie is among one of the best action thrillers Khan has worked in. Kabir Khan directed this spy thriller with a touch of suspense and twists, engaging audiences for the fate of the movie.  

Bajrangi Bhaijaan

7. Bajrangi Bhaijaan (2015)- Kabir Khan again made his talent shine in both Pakistan and India with the movie “Bajrangi Bhaijaan,” starring Salman Khan. Harshaali Malhotra (Munni) along with Kareena Kapoor Khan, did wonders in the film. The film is about the journey of a lost mute Pakistani girl Munni from the Kashmir area of Pakistan. She got lost in India and Pavan from India played by Salman Khan, made it his business to take her safely back to Pakistan. In a very heart-warming yet heart clenching journey, the movie kept the audiences on the edge as the whole time the Pakistani authorities are after an Indian man who illegally crossed the borders, who they thought was a spy.  

8. Sultan (2016)- Sports drama is not a new concept in the Indian Bollywood Industry. Sultan has been a story of two dedicated wrestlers, who fell in love and survived their marriage difficulties.

With the sacrifice of their son, Sultan reunited with his wife and embraced back his career in wrestling after many years. A little sacrifice of life to give a comforting fate to the movie, however, quite acceptable in Bollywood.
