One of the latest additions to ARY Digital, Meri Baji aims to highlight the issues and lifestyle of people belonging to the lower class of our society. It revolves around women who work as maids in order to make both ends meet and the good and bad sides of their stories!
Plot
Nasreen (Javeria Abbasi), a mother of 3 daughters, works as a maid to earn bread for her family since her abusive husband Sharafat (Rashid Farooqui) doesn’t take any of their responsibilities.
Nasreen’s eldest stepdaughter Rabia, played by Kiran Tabeer, dreams of a lavish lifestyle by marrying someone wealthy. She also works as a maid and has set her eyes on a rich guy, who happens to be her mistress’s fiancé. The second stepdaughter Neelofar (Aroha Khan) is responsible for taking care of the house chores while Nasreen is at her job. She is a simple girl and Sharafat wants to marry her off to one of his friends in exchange for some money. While the youngest one Chutki (Hira Ahmed) wants to become a doctor but burdened by her family problems, she also has to work as a maid!
